Using texts captured from the Lionsguard in ages past, the HDE forces deploy Warforged called Darkwardens. Capable of 'catching' and 'channeling' rot energies.
Darkwarden armor grants advantage on saving throws against rot attacks, while darkwarden cloaks are a magitech construct that offer resistance to rot-based damage - at least for a limited time.
