Before the Cursebreaking, people turned to the Singer Mercenary Company, one of the few organizations that survived the War, to protect homes and lives. Realizing that martial traditions were in danger of being lost – and that people’s lives were at stake – Alecto Singer opted to decommission the company and reconfigure her organization as one of the new Clans. The clan banner – sable field with silver wolf rampant – led to the new organization being christened the “Wolves.”

Where the military acts as guards to palace interest, the Wolves maintain civic order and offer guard and protection services. A citizen may choose to bring disputes to the Wolves, who act as professional arbiters for issues outside of the HDE court system, giving a place to handle citizen disputes without involving the weight of the Empire. Contracted Wolves keep the streets safe at night, guard nobles in their beds, and provide training and instruction for all citizens in arms, armor, and personal responsibility and protection. Wolf schools teach reading and writing to children alongside more martial pursuits, and they’re arguably the most numerous of all the clans.

Children dream of being wolves when they’re grown, and wolves are responsible for a great many construction projects, civil order, and more.

Wolves value honesty, loyalty, personal integrity, and martial prowess. Leaders are developed and leadership is highly acclaimed.

Current Events:

The Wolves sent a separate ship to Landfall, establishing a school in the outpost and a war lodge outside of it. They're looking to bring civilization to this wild land, paying well for books on history and law as well as martial invention, weapons, armor, and raw materials discovered during expeditions into the Reach.
